Berry Basil Sangria

5 min (plus chilling)
10 fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced into
ribbons, plus more for serving
½ pound strawberries, hulled and
thinly sliced
½ pound raspberries, plus more for serving
2 tablespoons sugar
2 bottles Prosecco
½ cup lemonade
½ cup white rum (optional)
1 green apple, cut into small pieces
Place the basil, strawberries,
raspberries and sugar into a large pitcher
and gently muddle with the back of a
large spoon. Add the Prosecco, lemonade,
rum, if using, and apples; stir together.
Refrigerate until cold. To serve, top with
basil and berries.
